The Osage Nation Casino on Tisdale is a place to gamble luck and have a good time. This is a pretty cut and dry idea for any casino. Now it’s time to resist the gamble and help out those with lesser charms than ourselves with the “Second Annual Real Heroes Help Find a Cure Breast Cancer Benefit.”

All of the proceeds will be going to the Hooters Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Activities for people young and old will be taking place throughout the day. A poker run with high and low winners will begin at 10 am at the Casino and head for Hooters-Tulsa. After that they’ll race to Four Aces for another draw and then to Longhorn-Inola. Two more stops before they make it back to the Osage Casino at Dee’s 66-Claremore and Dam Saloon-Oolagah. The best part about this run is that all vehicles are welcome. First one goes out at 11 am and the last one is out at noon. Five $5 hands allowed per person. On top of all that musical guests James Lambert, Darrel Lee, The Moving Company, Under the Gun, Sweatin Bullets, Gypsy Train, Rocky Frisco, Sitting Ducks and G Force will all be performing for the benefit starting at 11 am if people aren’t interested in what the poker run has to offer. On top of all that, if we don’t catch people with that entertainment there will be a hoola hoop contest with a $5 entry. Anyone could win $200! There will be an auction, raffle and food for the hungry at $5 a plate. Sponsors like Hooters, Budweiser and Myers-Duren Harley-Davidson have given us wonderful support. People everywhere are quietly getting excited about this event, but some of us want to make some noise. The more people we have in attendance the more money we can fight the horrible beast of breast cancer with.
